When it floods, the swampy water comes up underneath my home- a fish shack on stilts. At first, it was unnerving to see water under my house. But eventually the delta overflow became a sloppy embrace from a well meaning friend, who seemed to say, “The world may turn upside down sometimes, but we can make a roof of the water and a home of the sky.”
